When I think back to when I got started online, I think about what I wish I had learned right away to save me time and energy figuring it all out. Edit Pinterest Profile
In this section of the Profile, you will add details about your business profile. Keep in mind, the information you provide in this section is seen by the public.
Update your Photo - When adding a photo to your account, I suggest you use a personal photo. Your viewers want to get to know you and the real person behind your business. BUT, if this isn’t your style, you may certainly add a logo in this spot of your profile. Tip - make sure your photo is consistent across your social profiles. This is memorable and helps people connect your accounts and know it’s you.
Display Name - Your display name is a spot to include your business name and a few more words (keywords please) to describe your focus/business.
Profile Description - This space gives you the opportunity to share a little bit more about your business, what viewers will find in your account and what you offer. The description is a larger space to include some descriptive keywords. This will help viewers and Pinterest understand your account.
Email Address - Add your business email address. This is available to the public.
Address - Add your address if you would like. This is a good idea if you have a physical location for your business. Otherwise, you can leave it blank.
Account Settings
In this section of your Pinterest Profile, you will set your login preferences and you will have the option to include information that will help Pinterest personalize your experience. Much of this is optional so only update what applies. This includes:
Basics - email address, type of business, other demographics
Community Information - check any that apply
Login Preferences - optional log-in with Google or Facebook
Business Account Goals - check any that apply
Messaging Options - would you like to activate DM from your business account
Major Account Changes - Deactivate or Close your account here
Claim your Accounts
In this section of your Pinterest Profile, you will make sure you are getting credit for all your content on Pinterest. By claiming your content, your name and profile picture will show up next to Pins that come from your website.
Claim your Website - follow the instructions to add HTML code to your site. Don’t stress this. It is not hard.
Shopify - If you have a Shopify store, use this area to install the Pinterest App. This will allow your Shopify store to be set up for Pinterest Marketing.
